What Authors Are Saying About Blood Island

E-mail

Blood Island by H. Terrell Griffin"BLOOD ISLAND is full of Florida flavor and spiced with tension and humor."
---James O. Born, Author of Burn Zone

"BLOOD ISLAND is Florida Deco fiction at its best, and stakes-out a solid chunk of literary beachfront for author H. Terrell Griffin. The dialogue, sparse and mature, is Hemingwayesque. His insights into the quirky beast that is Florida will delight John D. MacDonald fans. Mr. Griffin's knowledge of law, and his sense of story, rival Grisham's best. Welcome to the world of Matt Royal, the fun loving beach bum lawyer who is as tough and smart as any character in modern American fiction."
---Randy Wayne White, New York Times Best Selling Author of Black Widow

"As I was reading Terry Griffin's new novel BLOOD ISLAND, I was struck how much his story telling is a cross between the venerable old master J.D. MacDonald and the immensely popular Stuart Woods. BLOOD ISLAND is smooth writing, fabulous settings and visuals, and above all a damned good story well told!"
---David Hagberg, USA Today Best Selling author of Allah’s Scorpion

"With BLOOD ISLAND, the riveting third installment of his Matt Royal series, Terry Griffin lays rightful claim to his own special chunk of the Florida mystery turf. While the tune might sound familiar -- a variation on that ever-popular theme of beaches, bars and broads gone bad -- Griffin gives it a fresh, new riff with meaty characters, a multi-layered story and a fuel-injected pace, jet-rocketing from the moneyed strands of Sarasota to the grimiest corners of the Florida Keys. The bad guys (and gals) are the baddest you'll ever meet, while Matt Royal and his not-so motley crew are tough, smart and funny -- the kind of folks who display an equal talent for watching each other's backs and philosophizing over a cold beer."
---Bob Morris, Edgar Award Nominee and National Best Selling author of Bermuda Swartz and Jamaica Me Dead
